L. A. Noire – Rockstar Games Newest masterpiece

January 22, 2010

I have said in the past that I thought Rockstars’ Grand Theft Auto IV was the pinnacle of sandbox gaming. It was a work of art, like the Sisteen Chapel of gaming. I may have been Wrong. This may be the greatest video game I have ever seen.

If GTA: IV was the Sisteen Chapel, L.A. Noire is all Van Gogh’s paintings wrapped into one. L.A. Noire is set in the perfectly re-created Los Angeles of the late 1940s. It looks dark, gritty and violent against an amazing backdrop with a classic jazz soundtrack. Think GTA meets the God Father for the next gen.

No pre order is available on amazon yet, but the game will be coming out for both systems in the near future (next month?)
