Pouring the 1st Mug

July 31, 2009

I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer.

Welcome to The Mug Rack, a new blog dedicated to sports, beer, women, politics, and all things pop culture (though not necessarily in any specific order). Most of our bloggers are from Wisconsin, so we’re going to have a strong Milwaukee/Wisconsin focus sometimes (but other states are no less welcome to join in the debate). However, there’s going to be plenty of ridiculousness to go around.

Why the name “The Mug Rack”? Well, back in the day, we kept our own mugs at a favorite watering hole of ours, and when we’d go in there, the conversations we had would touch just about everything. So we’re going to have a few regulars here keeping their mugs at the bar, but you may see some others stop by for a few as well. I’m the Bartender, and you’ll find out a little more about me as time goes on, but I’ll let the other folks introduce themselves to y’all as they see fit.

Of course, any good bar has happy hour specials, so we’ll be posting some of our favorite links from around the web, as well as a beer recomendation of the day (which you should buy from this guy). So enjoy some of our favorite reads, girls, videos, and beer with our happy hour specials.

Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter: @TheMugRack. Or catch us on Gmail (themugrack@gmail.com). Be sure to come back and stop in for a beer sometime.
