Brooks and Dunn cancel Summerfest Appearance [Updated]
June 23, 2010Sorry Country music fans…
The group Brooks & Dunn has cancelled its appearance at Summerfest due to a health concern.
According to theĀ group’s Web site, “Ronnie Dunn was put on vocal rest for 3 weeks.”
Brooks & Dunn was scheduled to appear in Milwaukee on June 29th.
OnMilwaukee has more details this morning:
Singer Ronnie Dunn was told by a doctor to rest his voice for three weeks, forcing the country duo to postpone its “Last Rodeo Tour.”
A text message from Dunn was posted on the band’s Web site: “Following my doctor’s order, shutting up, getting well and comin’ back asap!”
Along with a July 8 show in Fort Loramie, Ohio, the Milwaukee date will not be rescheduled.
Summerfest has slotted Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special into the Amp as a replacement. That show starts at 5 p.m. and costs $15.Those who purchased tickets Ticketmaster.com or Ticketmaster phones will receive an automatic refund within 7 to 10 business days.
Individuals who purchased Brooks & Dunn tickets at a Ticketmaster outlet or the Marcus Amphitheater Box Office must bring their tickets back to the point of purchase for a refund.
Kellie Pickler, who was slated to open for Brooks & Dunn at the Marcus Amphitheater, will now perform at 10 pm on June 29th at the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard Stage.
Gary Allan, also slated to open, will not perform at Summerfest
Not all terrible news, I’d go see Kelly Pickler…
